01 · The challenge
What needed solving
The client wanted to operate a regulated-style investment platform with structured plans, a multi-tier referral programme, regional payment rails (including Khalti for Nepali users) and proper KYC — but every off-the-shelf script either skipped KYC entirely or hard-coded a single payment gateway.
02 · Our approach
How we framed the work
We started with a discovery sprint to map the user journey, business goals and real constraints. From there we wrote a fixed-scope plan: clear milestones, weekly review gates on a staging URL, and a written exit criterion for every phase. The blockchain space rewards teams that ship — not teams that plan — so we biased the engagement towards working software from week two onward.
03 · The solution
What we built
We built a Laravel platform with a clean separation between the user surface and a permissioned admin. Users go through sponsor-coded registration, email/SMS/TOTP 2FA, a structured KYC identity form, and then purchase from a catalogue of investment plans that pay against an admin-managed schedule. Referral commissions are configurable per rank and paid into an in-platform wallet alongside investment payouts. Admins manage staff with roles + permissions, switch payment methods on the fly (manual deposits, automatic gateways, Khalti for Nepal), approve KYC and payout requests, set per-user payout limits, run rank/badge progression, and broadcast email or SMS from templated content. Multi-language ships with JSON-import for translators, and the theme + breadcrumb + SEO bits are all admin-editable so the same codebase reskins per brand.
04 · The results
What changed for the client.
KYC and 2FA built in from day one — no bolted-on compliance layer
